/ 01Do I need a boating licence?
No. Every charter with Serman Yacht Charter runs with a professional captain, who holds the licences and is responsible for navigation. On larger yachts a full crew also looks after service, the tender and the water toys.
/ 02How many guests can come aboard?
It depends on the yacht. Each vessel has a maximum number of passengers set by its registration and licence, and many larger yachts are limited to 12 guests on charter. We show the limit for every yacht in your shortlist.
/ 03What happens if the weather turns?
Safety comes first and your captain makes the call. Mallorca has coasts facing every direction, so there is often a sheltered alternative. If not, the weather clause in your charter contract sets out what happens next.
/ 04Can catering and fine wines be arranged?
Yes. We can arrange catering, a chef on longer charters where the yacht allows, and the wines you prefer. Tell us what you have in mind and we will confirm what works aboard your yacht.
/ 05Where do charters start?
Charters are based in Palma and can board at the city's marinas or nearby, at marinas such as Puerto Portals and Port Adriano. Depending on the yacht and the route, boarding at other harbours around Mallorca can be arranged.
