What data we process
The enquiry form on this website does not send or store anything on our servers. When you press a send button, it opens your own email app or WhatsApp with your message ready, and you decide whether to send it. If you do, we receive the data you include: usually your name, email address or phone number, dates, number of guests and details of the charter.
When you visit this website
When you load a page, our hosting and content delivery provider, Hostinger International Ltd. (Larnaca, Cyprus), processes technical connection data on our behalf: your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. These server logs are used only to deliver the website, keep it secure and investigate faults or attacks, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6.1.f GDPR). They are not used to identify or profile you and are kept only as long as needed for those purposes. Hostinger also provides our email service and acts as our processor (Article 28 GDPR). You can object to this processing at the address above (Article 21 GDPR).
Why we process it and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote, as steps taken at your request before a contract (Article 6.1.b GDPR).
- To manage the charter contract if you book (Article 6.1.b GDPR).
- To meet legal obligations, such as invoicing and passenger records where required (Article 6.1.c GDPR).
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within one year. Booking and invoicing data are kept for as long as the law requires, such as tax and commercial record-keeping periods.
Who receives it
We do not sell your data. It may be shared with the yacht owner or captain of your charter where needed to provide the service, with our hosting and email provider (Hostinger International Ltd.), and with public authorities when the law requires it. If you contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. and Meta Platforms process the conversation under their own terms, which may involve transfers to the United States covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing by writing to info@serman.yachts. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
