Bluegame is an Italian yard on the Ligurian coast and part of the Sanlorenzo group, and the 54 opened a new generation of its BG yachts. Her profile is built around life outdoors: a white hull with a dark rubbing band, a dark grey hardtop over the cockpit and a teak aft deck that opens to the stern. At 16.6 metres with a 4.8 metre beam she is a manageable size for the smaller coves, while wide side passages and high bulwarks make moving around her feel secure.

The cockpit sits under the hardtop, open at the sides for views all round, with sofas around a teak table and a sunroof overhead to let the sky in. Just behind it, an outdoor galley is concealed in a row of teak cabinets, so lunch can be prepared without leaving the deck. Down on the aft deck, the open stern sits level with the beach platform: cushioned loungers face the water, and much of the platform lowers into the sea, making it easy to slip in or launch the paddle board.
